Doggy Day Care Edinburgh

A passion for understanding animal behaviour

I’ve owned dogs all my life, and they’ve always been a central part of who I am. I originally studied English language at Edinburgh University, fascinated by how communication works. That interest carried me into clinical linguistics, where I explored how people process and use language. Over time, however, my love for dogs took center stage, and I found myself more and more drawn to understanding animal behavior.

Understanding dogs and their individual personality

What truly captivates me is figuring out how dogs think and why they behave the way they do. It’s an ongoing passion, one that never gets old, no matter how many dogs I meet. Each one has its own personality, quirks, and ways of seeing the world, and understanding those individual differences is what makes my job the best in the world.

Working with dogs

Working with dogs, helping them live happier and more balanced lives, is incredibly rewarding. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of connecting with a dog on a deeper level and knowing I’ve made a difference in their life. It’s this passion that drives me every day, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
